This week, we’re going to take one of our monsters on a little journey. First, our friend starts as a concept sketch (this one by Tim Emrick).
Then, he gets colored.
After that, we rotate him to the view he’ll be seen from in the game.
Once that’s taken care of, bits and pieces of him get turned into a sprite (by Chris Kimball).
The next step is to put the pieces together.
Finally, we animate him and then put on the finishing touches, but you’ll have to wait until Point of Descent is released to see how our friend looks then.
